Kwik-Tip Thermocouples

Kwik-Tip Thermocouples
Description
The KWIK-TIP is a fast response thermocouple designed to
measure the temperature of non-ferrous molten metals.
These plug-in Nickel Chromium/Nickel Aluminium type ‘K’
thermocouples are often used to measure the temperature
of molten metal in transit or in a ladle. They are low-cost
and expendable after use typically lasting between 3 and
10 cycles into molten metal, with a response time of 10
seconds or less.
Immersions per tip is dependent on the type of metal and
the slag conditions but typically we would expect
approximately 10 dips into molten aluminium down to 3
dips into phosphor bronze.
Designed for use with a digital pyrometer (DPP), existing
instruments can be adapted for use with the KWIK-TIP,
alternatively we can supply the complete system.
